My First Hotel Booking Experience

Husband just decided to have a travel last Friday night after his work. We went to ALLEN Premium Outlet to have some shopping. It's our first out of town travel and it's an awesome experience for us.
Before we headed in Texas, husband and I looked for an affordable hotels online. We were looking for a place where we could stay when we arrive. There are actually lots of choices online, but since it's our first time we don't know the guidelines yet on how to choose a hotel that fits your budget and taste. We have no idea what's the difference of a suites and inn. Good thing about booking online is that they have these photos, you can see there the amenities they could offer you. You can see what kind of furniture they got like those French bedroom furniture from out there interiors. From the net, you can even see every part of the rooms, from their toilet, kitchen, living room, bedroom and walk in closets with French mirrors. But since I am new to this kind of thing, I didn't base my preference to those interiors but to the rate per night. Husband and I was able to find one that's affordable and booked it for a night. When we arrived there, husband was a little bit dismayed because it didn't meet his expectations. Good thing the kids loved the place and that help him lessen his disappointments.

Start Saving Mother Earth

I am sure many of us learned our lesson well, from crazy climate changes and deadly and devastating disasters happening around the world. I am sure we are aware it's our fault right? Maybe our generation is not responsible for  everything but our generation can save our mother earth. We can start by planting trees, yes start it in your garden. It doesn't benefit only you but everybody in this world. It's always nice to have a green environment. Another thing you can do for our mother earth is conserve energy. It's the simplest thing but very hard to do. People are now unto computers and any electronic devices but I can't blame them coz electronics and gadgets are very helpful to us that's why there are some things made to lessen usage of such devices like home insulation during winter. Other ways to save earth is like what my favorite to do, re using things and recycling. I used to re use plastic bags from the grocery and use it as a garbage bag instead of throwing it immediately. But if you have reusable shopping bags then avoid using plastic bags anymore. One more thing you can contribute on saving the world is choosing things that are eco friendly. Sometimes you can't avoid not to buy stuff that you need especially when our kids requesting for a toy, don't worry there's plenty of eco friendly toys and gifts' store out there. Always remember, don't let our mother earth die on our hands, let's start saving it and save our next generation.

Window Shopping

Last week before we go to a friends' house and watch PACQUIAO-MOSLEY fight via payperview, we drove to the mall and look for a Pacquiao shirt. Unfortunately there's none si we just decided to shop for some kids' clothes. Husband asked me what I want to buy and I said I don't have anything in my mind so we just went to the pay area after buying the kids' some clothes. At the back of the pay area I saw some ladies clothes so I left the kids with the husband and did some window shopping. I saw a lot of clothes that I would really love to buy, while looking I noticed I've seen some high fashion scrubs for sale in there like the one I've seen in http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/ online. Back to my business, I kept looking for some affordable yet chick clothes and finally chose a sleeveless top and a pair of shorts. After shopping in the mall, we also headed to a home depot and look for some shoe rack but there's none so we just roam around the big store and drool our selves with the fascinating furniture insde.

There's a Flood in the Bathroom

I accidentally left the faucet open this morning and the sink hole closed. My kids were in the bath tub swimming while me forgot that I am washing something in the sink. When I got to go back to the bathroom, I stepped on this overflowing water in the kitchen. I was wondering where the water coming from so I looked and surprised when I got to know the water was coming from the overflowing sink! Gosh, how could I forget I am washing in the sink and I left? Now I had to wipe out the water all over the floor from the bathroom up to the kitchen floor! The carpets inside the bathroom almost got floating because of the water. I had a hard time cleaning them coz I don't have any carpet drying fans austin found in http://www.thesteamteam.com/ . I only used a rag to dry the water and it took me 20 minutes to clean up. Oh, I hope this will serve a lesson to me, I am so forgetful so next time I should not leave the faucet open and finish what I am doing first before going out or doing other things.

The Great 300 Documentary

Thanks for the post, Nora Howe

Have you ever heard of the great spartans and how they did the impossible by taking on one million persians with only 300 men? This is one of my favorite documentaries of all time. This is a true story about the 300 spartan soldiers who stood strong against the mighty persians in an ancient battle long ago. The reason that I really like this story is because it shows the great quality of the soldiers of Sparta as well as a code of life that they lived by. The idea of a warrior king has been noted in history but no one comes more true to this than King Leonidas. He is the man of all men, the warrior of all warriors ! and puts the code of Spartans to the test. Although there have been movies that address this great battle, it was nice to see the documentary on satellite TV fromwww.tvbydirect.com because I was able to get a much better and more accurate understanding of the layout of the terrane as well as a better idea of the battle strategies that were used. Also, the documentary explains the many traditions that were used in that time to detriment how and when the army was used and how there were only a select 300 soldiers used instead of the remaining thousands. This is a great documentary to watch not only for people who like historic battles but also for those looking for a little inspiration and courage.
